The 35th Annual Heartland Round-Up, an AA and Al-Anon fellowship event is taking place from September 11 to 13, 2026. The gathering is hosted at the Northern Pines Camp & Retreat Center in Park Rapids, Minnesota.

📅 Event Schedule

  • Friday, Sept. 11: Registration begins at 3:00 PM, followed by dinner and AA Speaker Mike A. from Nashville, TN. A campfire call-up meeting finishes the evening.
  • Saturday, Sept. 12: Features breakfast, lunch, and dinner alongside continuous events. Speakers include Lori G. (Al-Anon) and Ericka M. (AA), plus dedicated workshops covering “Steps 6 & 7” and “Working the Steps”. The night concludes with a dance featuring “Big Show Entertainment”.
  • Sunday, Sept. 13: Includes breakfast, AA Speaker Jim C. from Fort Dodge, IA, lunch, and a 3:00 PM check-out.

🌲 Location & Amenities

  • Venue: Northern Pines Camp & Retreat Center, located on a 40-acre wooded site on the east shore of Fish Hook Lake, roughly 20 miles from Itasca State Park.
  • Activities: The venue offers walking, hiking, and biking trails. On-site amenities include volleyball, basketball, GaGa ball, soccer, tetherball, disc golf, and a children’s play area. Headwaters Golf Course is located directly across the road.

⛺ Lodging & Pet Policies

  • Cabins: Unheated/uncooled rustic cabins are available ranging from $15.00 to $25.00 per person, per night. Guests must bring their own bedding, pillows, towels, and flashlights.
  • Other Lodging: Lodge rooms ($25.00/night), RV/camper slots ($15.00/night), and tent/treehouse spots ($10.00/night) are also options.
  • Rules: All buildings are strictly smoke-free and pet-free. Leashed pets are only permitted in the RV and campground areas with current vaccination records and a signed waiver. General open campfires are prohibited.

📝 Registration & Fees

  • Event Entry: Registration is $25.00 for AA/Al-Anon adult guests and $10.00 for Alateen attendees.
  • Meals: Individual adult meals range from $10.00 to $17.00, or attendees can purchase an All-Meal Package for $65.00. Discounted meal options are available for children under 12.
  • Mailing: Registration forms and payments are handled via mail to the Heartland Round-Up PO Box 744 in Wahpeton, North Dakota.
